Circa 1860, exhibition quality, inlaid yew wood breakfast table, likely by Gillows of Lancaster. The circular top with 12 segments of burr yew, and mother of pearl marquetry in floral and butterfly designs to the centre and border. The dragooned edge over a solid yew wood beaded apron, with a snap top action on a monumental base. Profusely carved, with foliate and shell motifs block, S- and C-scrolls, finishing on cabriole legs with bird-like ball and claw feet.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
