This is a heavy antique Mr. Punch doorstop. An English, cast iron figurative door keeper, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1860. 

• Charmingly cast, with a bold character and reassuringly heavy
• Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
• Quality cast iron presenting a good, consistent graphite finish
• Pleasingly robust and substantial with a weight of 4.07kg (8.97 lb)

• Mr. Punch shown atop a pile of books, with a faithful dog by his side
• Punch is cast 'cocking a snook' with his left hand against his nose
