Circa 1830, original George IV mahogany dining table, comprising of 2 D end sections, a centre section and 2 additional leaves. The D ends have wonderful flamed mahogany and a reeded fore edge. Beneath these are wonderfully carved columns on a tripod base with reeded legs finishing in carved hairy feet. The carving is superb and the colour is excellent. The centre section consists of a small rectangular table on four elegantly turned legs. The leaves again have a reeded edge and are held in position by brass clips. The two leaves are later than the other sections. The table will seat 14 people comfortably.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
