Circa 1825. A good George IV mahogany five drawer side table or desk in the manner of ‘Gillows of Lancaster’. The top in rich plum pudding mahogany and ¾ polished gallery, the deep fore edge, with a configuration of one long drawer flanked by a pair of drawers, the right hand side a double dummy drawer and on the left a pair of drawers, each with carved turned knob handles, there is a shaped frieze and beneath the drawers there is a stylish beading that continues around the desk, all resting on four substantial turned and ring turned tapering legs, finishing with a brass cup with original brass castors beneath.

With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
