george iii style burr walnut serpentine chest of drawers

Circa 1930, very stylish George III style burr walnut serpentine fronted chest of drawers. The quarter veneered burr walnut top has rounded corners, above 4 serpentine graduating drawers which have oak liners in the bottom and stylish cast brass swan neck handles. The fore edge of the chest is canted. Beneath the bottom drawer there is a shaped apron which follows the form of the chest of drawers. The gable ends also have a stylish apron. The whole chest finishes on a slightly unusual raised French foot with a kick out section at the side. The chest is clean, good colour, neat size.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
