Circa 1780, George III elm country corner chair. The large elm splat continues to become the arms and is held in place by 3 turned uprights. In between the uprights there are 2 open fretwork panels. The chair has a green leather upholstered drop in seat pad, and stands on 4 square legs. The legs on the front and the side have reeding on them. There is a cross stretcher between all 4 legs making the chair sturdy. There is an old repair on the top but there is good character and colour on the chair.
