Circa 1900, George II style walnut duet stool. The rectangular shaped stool has a drop in seat, carved and gilded moulded edge, and the sides are veneered in burr walnut with carved scallop shells to the front and back with further gilding at the base of the moulded edge. Standing on 4 cabriole legs with c-scrolls, scallop shells and downward facing bell drops which are gilded on the knees and top. The legs finish on a ball and claw foot, with the ball being gilded.
