Circa 1920, George II style chest on stand, with a shaped polished top over a nice moulded edge, giving the impression of a cornice. There is a configuration of three graduating drawers on the top, and on the base two further drawers, all with cast brass ring handles with a very stylish back plate, and matching flame mahogany veneers. Between the top and bottom is a lift off section which has mouldings following the form of the chest. Beneath the bottom drawer is shaped apron and the whole piece stands on four elegant carved cabriole legs finishing on stylised pad feet. Neat size, good colour and sturdy.
