Circa 1720, George I oak side chair. The shaped top rail with scroll decoration is above a curved vasiform splat and curved uprights, which leads down to a lift-out seat. This is on a doweled seat rail with moulded top, and it is all standing on cabriole legs with pad feet. These are connected by block and turned stretchers for stability.
