Circa 1880, French inlaid marquetry rosewood display cabinet with ormolu mounts and marble top. The cabinet has a 3/4 wraparound gallery with open fretwork and the main bezel containing the glass has a series of engraved flowers. There is a full length door, glazed with rosewood and boxwood inlay and inside there are three velvet covered shelves and three further small glass shelves held in place by ormolu brackets. The bottom panel of the door, and panels to the side are smothered in floral marquetry and ormolu mounts can be seen to the top, apron and fore-edge. It stands on 4 simple cabriole legs, the front with classic French sabots. The marble top is pink and variegated.
