A finely shaped and carved antique serpentine mahogany chest of drawers. This beautiful example of a serpentine commode / chest of drawers has a thumb moulded solid mahogany shaped top with three graduated oak lined drawers each being cockbeaded with escutcheons flanked by ornately carved figures which transform into hoof feet. With a carved apron this superb commode / chest of drawers dating to the 1920's retains its original brass rococo swan neck handles and has a good colour. Having been restored using traditional methods this rare piece of furniture is in showroom condition ready for use.
