Circa 1825. An exhibition quality George IV mahogany two door linen press. The moulded cornice with flame mahogany on the facing, the frieze in book matched flame mahogany, too. The pair of doors with wonderful panels, the frame crossbanded, the doors have a pair of cartouches shaped gilded brass escutcheons, open to reveal the original slides. The base with a configuration of two short over two long full-length drawers all with matching escutcheons and a pair of cast brass and brass moulded knob handles with an elegant back plate. The drawers have matching flame mahogany from bottom to top, beneath the bottom drawer there is a simple moulding resting on four stout turned feet.
