Fine quality antique Regency mahogany sideboard with three frieze drawers. The finest mahogany has been used to construct this cabinet which over the years has mellowed into a gorgeous colour. The figured mahogany top with cross-grained edge sitting over three mahogany lined and gadrooned drawers with brass ring handles. Below which are two doors having gadrooned internal edges with inset brass grills which open to reveal a removable shelf with cross-grained mahogany edge all raised on original bracket feet. The quality of this cabinet is second to none with the sides being better quality mahogany than you would fine on most tops of this period. It is in extremely good condition having been gently restored using traditional methods and has retained the most fantastic colour.

We have had a reputation for being a long established antique dealer in London having had showrooms concurrently running in Islington, Chelsea and Ascot. We have relocated our new showroom which is easily reached between A1 or A10 to just outside of Hertford, Hertfordshire to adapt to our customers buying habits which are predominately online. This has enabled us to offer our goods at significantly reduced prices, as likewise our overheads have been considerably reduced therefore passing our savings on.

The new showroom is just North of London and a 20min train journey from Kings Cross London to Stevenage and a short 10 minute drive from there which we are happy to pick you up from. It is also a 10 minute drive from Hertford North station again which we are happy to pick you up from.

Now in the second generation, Loveday antiques is run by Alexander Loveday. The name Loveday has been synonymous throughout the Antiques Trade, Interior Designers and the general public for over 40 years. Alexander Loveday's passion for antiques was founded from an early age, his father David Loveday was one of the first Antique Dealers in the Antiques quarters of Islington, London. From achieving success and a good reputation within the industry, he founded a second showroom in the Kings Road Chelsea. This led Alexander, working alongside his father, to start his own business at the age of 20 and to bring his own personal style and attention to quality into the collection we have today. The stock represents an interesting and stylish mix of not only Antique furniture but Art Deco and contemporary 1970's furniture from around the world infused with some exquisite pieces of British Modern Artwork which gives the showroom a distinct and very unique feel.
