Circa 1800. Exceptional Bombe-front French parquetry mahogany commode. The serpentine front top with rosewood edging and exquisite parquetry inlay that appears almost three dimensional. The parquetry frieze above two Bombe front drawers with original Rococo cast brass handles and escutcheons over a shaped skirt with Rococo brass mounts. The outswept corners with caryatid ormolu mounts extending down as tapering cabriole legs with brass sabots. The Bombe chest sides with matching parquetry. All in exceptionally good condition.
