Circa 1840, early Victorian mahogany bow fronted chest of drawers. The top has wonderful grained mahogany, with a deep curved fore edge which is veneered in similar mahogany. Beneath this is a deep apron with matching flame mahogany veneers and ribbed pilasters on either side which are embedded into the fore edge. There is a drawer configuration of two short over three further long graduating drawers, with original mahogany knob handles and matching flame mahogany veneers. Beneath the bottom drawer is an ogee moulding, and the whole piece stands on an enclosed plinth. Excellent colour and good condition.
