Circa 1830, Dutch walnut and marquetry side chair. With its deep top splat, rounded top edge, double string inlay and large panel in the centre with floral marquetry. There is further marquetry on the two uprights and cross bar in the centre. The chair has a large stuffover seat above an apron with a floral decoration cut into it. The marquetry continues around the sides, back, side rails, the front and sides of all the legs. The back legs are square, tapering and slightly outswept whilst the front legs have a slight sabra on them.
