Circa 1890, well carved Ceylonese padouk occasional table. The flower shaped top has a carved edging in the form of flower heads, over a profusely carved apron with open fretwork the same pattern as the top. The whole piece stands on a well carved stem on a platform base which is again carved with flower heads, finishing on three scrolling carved feet. Very stylish and unusual table.
