Circa 1900, an Arts & Crafts movement stained beech chair in the style of William Morris. The low chair has 2 turned top rails, the second supported by 6 fine tapering spindles. The arms are fine and broaden to the front, and are held in position by turned tapering uprights which become the legs at the front. There is a stylish rattan seat, and below this the legs are united by double stretchers at the front and sides, and a single stretcher at the back. Good colour and condition.
