Circa 1890, unusual Art Nouveau mahogany and brass magazine rack. The neat sized cabinet has a rectangular top with a three quarter wrap around pierced gallery. At the front is a large cast brass stylised handle, and this section falls forward to show three separate divisions inside. The piece is contained in a brass frame with turned uprights and shaped castings on the sides. There is a stylised apron on the front, cross over stretchers and the whole piece stands on cabriole brass legs.
