Circa 1930, unusual Art Deco gilded and walnut side table. The top has wonderful veneered grained and burr walnut, a canted front and stylish ogee moulding. Beneath the top is one long drawer which is split into two, with cast brass drop handles and a gilded gesso fore edge on the bottom with scrolling and an acanthus leaf in the centre which gives the front wonderful symmetry. The sides are canted, again with a gilded gesso fore edge and two gilded roundels. The table stands on 6 elegant turned, tapering and gilded legs connected by unusual arched cross stretcher. The piece is elegant, clean and stylish.
