Superb Antique Victorian Mahogany Library Bookcase Secretaire and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a moulded cornice to the top with mahogany frieze and carved corbal supports to each side above two glazed arched panelled doors with original working key and with three internal adjustable shelves. To the base there is a moulded panelled false drawer front with original turned knob handles which opens to reveal a very nice satin walnut secretaire interior consisting of a row of pigeon holes with walnut frieze to the centre flanked on either side by three short drawers and one long drawer to the centre all of which have their original brass handles and with its original leather embossed skiver. The base has a carved corbal support to each side and two arched panelled doors with original working key and internal shelf. The whole standing on a deep plinth base and the top separates from the base for ease of transporting.
