    Antique Antique Regency Metamorphic Dining Table Manner of Gillows19th C

    A fine antique Regency Metamorphic dining table in the manner of Gillows, Circa 1830 in date.

     
    This amazing flame mahogany dining table can seat twelve and has three sections being formed from two D-end console tables and a dropleaf table, all raised on reeded tapering legs.
     
    The top has been hand-crafted from flame mahogany which has a beautiful grain. If required the table can be converted into a pair of console tables and a drop leaf table.
     
    Add elegant charm to your dining experence with this fabulous table.

    In really excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.

    was originally founded in Lancaster in 1730.Gillow's of Lancaster was a household name in VictorianBritain, and the firm exported furniture throughout the Empire. Key to the company's success was the dynamic father and son team at its core.
     
    The London branch was opened in 1775. AmongGillow'smost successful pieces during this period were those made in the Neoclassical style from original drawings by Robert Adam.In the period 1813-1820 the Gillow family gradually withdrew from personal involvement with the business.
     
    In 1897 Gillow & Co. merged with a Liverpool firm and they henceforth traded as Waring & Gillow.
