This is an antique planter. A Japanese, bronze decorative jardiniere in Tokugawa or Edo taste, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1860.
- Fascinatingly decorative planter with delightful Japanese taste
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
- Quality bronze presents a consistently weathered brown hue
- Trio of panels to each fascia host relief scenes of birds
- Distinctive handles in the form of an elephant's head and trunk
- Of substantial weight in the hand at 4.42kg (9.74 lb)
