This is an antique mounted fishing reel. An English, mahogany and brass reel of sporting decorative interest and mounted on a travertine base, dating to the Victorian period and later, circa 1900.
- Of great appeal to the keen fisherman for decorative display
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Select stocks show fine grain interest and deep russet hues
- Quality brass fittings throughout presents warm golden tones
- Skilfully mounted upon a stout travertine plinth
- Rotary function intact, with tactile ebonised handles
- Maker's mark to the rear for Sun, with Patent number opposite
- Dressed with a protective pad to the base
