This is an antique Great Exhibition fruit dish. An English, cast gilt metal display bowl, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1850.

• Delightfully ornate with a charming cameo of the famous Crystal Palace
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
• Quality cast gilt metal presents an appealing golden hue
• Striking pierced fretwork pattern with a foliate motif and mythological Hippocamps
