This is a beautiful antique French kingwood and ormolu mounted display cabinet in the French Louis Revival manner, circa 1850 in date.
This beautiful cabinet hasan abundance of exquisiteormolumounts.
The pair of glazed doors enclose an interior which has been relined in a beautiful Royal Purple velvet fabric, there are three shelves and it stands on elegant slendercabriole legs.
The brass lock plate on the interior of the door bears the engraved inscription of the renowned Paris cabinetcaninetmakers:
"Ternisien & Dantant, Rue Vendome, Paris"

Félix-Alfred Ternisien,born 1817, cabinetmaker and upholsterer, in partnership with Dantant. Supplier of furniture for the Imperial Train in 1856, and for the Chateau d'Eu, restored by Viollet-Le-Duc in 1874.
Ternisien and Dantant established their "Maison de Decoration at 7 Place de Vendome, Paris.
Some items are signed Ternisien et Dantant, others are stamped Ternisien et Dantant, later items are just signed E.Dantant.
