Antique French Louis XV Revival Marquetry Bombe Commode
This delightful commode features a free-standing variegated marble top with a serpentine front and carved moulded edge.
In the style of Revel, a town well-known for prolific manufacture of Louis XV style inlaid furniture in Languedoc.
Below the top are two full-width drawers lined inside with blue velvet.
The lower drawer has a two stage fully working lock and key, which locks both drawers.
The serpentine front and bombe-shaped sides are covered in delicate floral marquetry to three sides. Adorning the front are polished bronze ormolu and handles.
Overall in excellent condition with minor age-related marks commensurate with age.
It has been checked, cleaned and re-waxed, ready to place in the home.
