This is an antique elbow chair. An English, mahogany armchair with needlepoint upholstery, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.

• Serpentine forms with fine colour and finish
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Select stocks show fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
• Quality needlepoint upholstery with colourful foliate bouquet to the useful drop-in seat

• Bowed top rail with arched edge cascades into striking, scrolled arms
• Reeded front apron set between a pair of chamfered shoulders
• Standing upon superb gadrooned front legs with bun feet
• Gently splayed rear legs curve gently from the side rails

This is an attractive antique elbow chair, with distinguished scrolled arms and beautifully presented. The drop-in seat aids reupholstering to individual taste. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
