This is an antique decorative desk stand. An Indian, ebony Colonial writer's tidy, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

• Striking dark tonality with eye-catching Colonial taste
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

• A suite of compartments, adorned with prominent turned finials

• Central sliding compartment lid hosts a carved elephant figure
• Useful drawer to the base dressed with small brass pulls
