This is an antique coal keeper. An English, copper and oak fireside store or log bin, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
- Countryside appeal for the fireside, with hand beaten finish
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
- Select oak shows fine grain interest and warm caramel hues
- Profusely detailed and textured copper presents bright tonality
- Braced lid adorned with a stylish Art Nouveau motif to the centre
- The lid remains upright upon its distinctive strap hinges
- Generously sized, clean interior, ideal for all fuel types
- Raised upon a quartet of shaped block feet with tapering toe
This is a delightful antique coal keeper, with a dashing amber and caramel appearance. Ideal for the fireside. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
