This is an antique carriage stool. An English, flame mahogany and tweed upholstered raised fireside rest, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1780.
- Support weary legs in tasteful style with this appealing Georgian rest
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
- Select flame stocks present fine grain interest and warm caramel hues
- Professionally reupholstered with quality fabric redolent of Harris Tweed
- Set at an angle, the wide cushion traditionally stuffed for comfort
- Raised upon a set of ogee bracket feet with sash aprons to centre
This is a delightful antique carriage stool, with a superb professionally reupholstered cushion in the manner of Harris Tweed. Highly tasteful and of generous proportion. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
