This is an antique cantaloupe serving dish. A Chinese, ceramic decorative fruit bowl, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Graced with superb colour and an attractive ovoid form
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Quality white ceramic presents a strikingly vibrant palette
- Central foliate medallion with ornate detail draws the eye
- Eight traditional good luck motif set amongst pattern borders
- Broad shaped rim borders alternate their pattern to great effect
- Raised upon a prominent footed base, with foliate detail to underside
