This is an antique breakfast set. An English, silver toast rack and Scottish tongs, dating to the Regency period and later, hallmarked 1815 and 1918.

• Wonderfully presented set, ideal for the breakfast table
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
• Hallmarked silver presents beautifully, with bright reflective tones
• Both pleasingly tactile, carefully polished and free of tarnishing

• Four slice rack, with an elegant spade shaped handle
• The elongated toast tongs with shell motif, further engraved with the monogram 'AG'
• Assayed in Edinburgh, the Mitchell & Russell tongs bear the date code 'J' for 1815
• The rack - by Jon & William Deakin bears the Sheffield hallmark and date code 'A' for 1918
