This is an antique Field Camera and tripod. An English, mahogany and brass plate camera with accessories and lens, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.

• Delightful and rare camera set, with superb display appeal
• Displays a desirable aged patina original condition - some light leak to bellows
• Select stocks present deep caramel hues, accompanied by warm brass tones
• Articulated tripod can be set to various heights, with three stages of extension to the legs
• At its most compact with a folded height of 43cm (17''), extending to a 96cm (37.75'') maximum
  
  
• Camera opens out from a usefully compact folded form, staying open with twist catches
• Replete with a quality screw-in lens, with bright objective in good condition
• Set of Eight slide plates add further period interest, as does the brass Watkins Exposure Meter
• Unmarked as such, but in the manner of the contemporary McKellen's patent camera
