This is an antique Arts & Crafts book stand. An English, mahogany magazine rack or Canterbury, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. 

• Of delightful form and attractive presentation for the avid reader
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Select stocks show fine grain interest and warm caramel hues
• Boxwood 'arrow' inlay adds distinction throughout

• Angled book trough with a useful magazine rack below, over an open display shelf
• Shaped sides with handle grasps for ease of carriage
• Accentuated with superb pierced fretwork spade motif to each side
• Standing upon arched trestle feet, engraved beneath with a serial number
