    Antique Antique 19th Century Satinwood Linen Press w7274/21.1

    Superb Antique Victorian Satinwood Clothes or Linen Press and dating form around 1880. It has a deep overhung cornice top above a rolled and moulded frieze and two shaped panelled doors with original brass handles and escutcheons with working key. Internally there are removable shelves and to each side there are contrasting mahogany carved acanthus leaf corbal supports. To the base there are two short drawers over two long graduating drawers all of which are pine lined with brass key escutcheons and original turned mahogany knob handles with mother of pearl insets. It is moulded to the base and stands on squat bun feet.
    The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

     
    Measures: 77" high x 22.5" deep x internal depth 17" x 51" wide
     
    A superb Satinwood Linen or Clothes Press with a lovely deep colour and original patination to the satinwood and in very good condition oozing all the charm and character of the period.
