ITEM DESCRIPTION: Original 19th Century Antique French Console Table with Marble Top. A wonderful original antique piece of furniture, not for you if you like your antiques new or if you like newly painted and aged style of furniture. This is the real thing! Originally, this may have been gilt wood, but has been painted over the years to give it a beautiful country house look about it. The swags are wonderful and quite delicate. This piece stands on two feet so needs to be secured to the wall with screws (mountings attached). There is paint flaking and pieces of decor missing, but this is sold as a true antique piece that shows it's history, and is best kept as it is, rare to find in this Country House condition.
