Highly Decorative Antique Edwardian Rosewood inlaid Bedside Cabinet Pot Cupboard in the manner of Edwards & Roberts of London and dating from around 1900. Constructed from quality Rosewood it has a moulded edge to the top with fine stringing and inlaid sunburst to each corner. there is a wonderful inlaid panelled door in faience style of swags and tails and depicting two Herons and with fine stringing to the door frame and with original gilt brass handle. To each side there is an inlaid swag of harebells. To the interior there is a single shelf and the whole stands on a deep plinth base.

Their business also involved retailing, adapting and restoring the finest antique furniture and there are many examples of their earlier furniture with later embellishments bearing their stamp. Edwards & Roberts specialized in marquetry, inlay and ormolu.
