Antique Edwardian Oak Tambor Roll Top Desk and dating from around 1900. Constructed from quality oak it has a tambor front in very good condition and with original key and brass escutcheon and opens to reveal an interior of light oak with a selection of pigeon holes and letter racks with one long drawer to each side above a secret small frieze drawer and with open space below. To the top of each pedastal there is a book slide and central frieze drawer. The left pedastal has four graduating drawers all of which are oak lined with original oak handles and the right hand pedastal has a two drawers and a double file drawer with false double drawer front ( making for the appearance of two drawers). It is panelled within the knee hole and has panelled sides and stands on a plinth base.
Separates for ease of transporting.
Measures: 45" high x knee height 26" x 30" desk height x 26" deep x 48" wide
