    Antique ANTIQUE 18TH CENTURY ENGLISH OAK CHEST ON CHEST OF DRAWERS W7450/29.4

    Very Nice Antique English 18th Century Oak Chest on Chest and dating from around the time of George 111 c1780. It has a moulded cornice to the top above a deep frieze and has two short drawers over three long graduating drawers and with canted and reeded corners ( see photo). The base is moulded to the top above two long deep drawers all of the drawers are pine lined with later brass handles and with original key escutcheons. It is moulded to the base and stands on bracket feet. The top separates from the base for ease of transporting and it is Peg Joined.

     
    Measures: 72" high x 21" deep x 43" wide
     
    A superb Georgian Oak Chest on Chest in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
