A classic pair of Victorian, framed and signed, oil paintings of highland stags before water and mountains. They measure 27ins (69cms) x 22ins ( 56cms) to the outside edge of the frames and are painted in oil,on canvas.

They are traditionally composed pictures with a central figure of a stag before a lake, with mountains in the background an heath and so on around on the ground. they are well executed works and loook imoressive as a pair. They are both signed at bottom right with, 'Ross'.

The frames are heavily moulded, curved sweeping ones and are wired and ready to hang.

The pictures are in generally good oreder with no holes or repairs. there is some minor flajed spots but nothing disfiguring and the frames have only some minor remedial work to them that doesn't show.

A fine pair of traditional Scottish highland stag pictures that woulod ijpress wherever they wer hung!
