a stunning pair of antique french paint and gilt cane twin beds, c1900

These are a really very nice and unusual pair of antique French paint and gilt cane twin beds from probably late 19th century or even the early 20th century. They are a good size being taking as 3 foot six wide mattress each. The original cane work is in really excellent condition with hardly a strand damaged. Some of the gilding on the cane work has worn over time giving it a blackened look, mainly on one of the headboards and on one corner of each of the footboards. This could either be left as is or be cleaned and regilded depending upon the buyers preferences. The frames are solid and held together by the original bolts which are still in good working order. The original paint and gilt to the frame has worn nicely over time to give the beds that lovely aged look and feel. An absolutely super pair of beds...

    Dimensions are (inches):
    Headboard height - 37.5
    Headboard width - 47
    Footboard height - 27
