Made of walnut and inlaid with various woods, c.1870, this wall cabinet has a double cupboard below a spindled gallery and above two shallow drawers and a shelf. The handles are made of brass and come with the original key. The inlaid decoration forms various geometric and roundel patterns across the front and sides of the cabinet. Chamfering, gouging, moulding, shaping and turning subtly embellish the wood throughout.

The design is attributed to Charles Bevan, a leading designer of Gothic Revival furniture and particularly noted for his use of geometric inlay.

    It is in superb condition.
