...........................................................................Description: 19thc Porcelain & cast Iron Mosaic Commemorative Queen Victoria Octagonal Table
The delightful piece was made during the latter part of the 19th Century from a multitude of ceramic / porcelain pieces to celebrate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee Accession day which took place at Buckingham Palace on Sunday 20th June 1897.
The piece is dated in porcelain on the table top -1897 and constructed from various pieces of ceramic & Porcelain segments, including blue & white china, Minton porcelain etc etc.
The table top also carries the Queens 'V' Logo together with the silhouette of her famous Crown Jewell's.The piece is mounted upon a fabulous solid cast Wrought Iron table base which dates to the same period.Offered in overall very good condition consistent with it's very old age.There are areas of porcelain loss to one leading edge of the table but this in my opinion adds to the charm, character and authenticity of
