19thC English Coalbrookdale Cast Iron Lion Console Table. Circa 1880. A 5cm thick sanded and clear waxed Welsh blue slate top supported on three elaborate Coalbrookdale cast iron polished supports with lions heads, acanthus cast detail and lions paw feet. Stamped with the Coalbrookdale makers mark. The bespoke console frame designed and made in collaboration with our Artisan Blacksmith. Featuring hand forged Fishtails and solid handmade Brass Rivets, the frame has drilled holes to fix to a wall alongside two thick upstanding fixing pins which align the underside of the slate to fit and slot safely into position. The overall design gives an elegant floating appearance.

My North Star has always been my design principles of form, function, texture, balance, emphasis, proportion, and colour. For me, my eyes rest easily upon a well worn surface, the knocks, bruises, creases and scars, all part of our life story. I hope to inspire you to feel comforted, brave and ready to embrace the past into the present of our interiors and lives - imperfectly perfect.
