19th Century inlaid mahogany desk, the top having a shelf flanked either side by concave hinged stationary compartments beautifully inlaid with scrolling flowers and urns, each with a drawer with fitted compartments, the shelf and the compartments having a brass gallery running along the top, the shaped desk top having a green leather writing surface decorated with blind and gold tooling, the desk having a combination of seven graduated drawers with oak drawer linings and original brass handles, the drawer fronts profusely inlaid with floral decoration, standing on square tapering legs terminating with brass castors. Circa 1890.
