A highly decorative and superb quality 19th Century freestanding burr walnut and marquetry jardiniere/planter/cooler, the rectangular lift up lid to reveal a metal liner inside, the top of the lid is crossbanded and has ormolu mounted handles, decorative floral marquetry oval panel at the centre and a pierced ormolu gallery running around the edge, further floral marquetry around the sides underneath with decorative floral engraved ormolu mounts at each corner,a shaped apron along all sides of the table and profusely inlaid with floral marquetry, supported on elegant slender cabriole legs with ormolu mounts and intricate beading. In excellent condition. Circa 1870.
