17th century carved oak stand

Circa 17th century and later, oak stand. The stand is profusely carved with a flat section to the top (the cap appears to be missing) and upward facing acanthus leaves beneath this. The centre of the column tapers and has 4 cherubs heads above further mouldings. It stands on a plinth base with further carvings to all sides and could be adapted into a standard lamp or torchere.
