Circa 1900, exhibition quality, Sheraton-style, inlaid mahogany Wellington chest of drawers. The rectangular top in beautiful figured Spanish mahogany with central shell inlay, satinwood banding and boxwood and ebony stringing. Seven inlaid graduated drawers with mahogany linings and cast brass loop handles are flanked by inlaid pilasters, one with a locking mechanism. On inlaid plinth base with cut out bracket feet.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
