Circa 1880. A good George II style oak and mahogany inlaid lowboy. The rectangular top in finely figured oak with chevron inlay, mahogany banding and double moulded fore-edge. With an unusual and stylish configuration of five narrow drawers, each with similar inlay to the top and drop handles with engraved backplates. There is a presentation plaque beneath the central drawer, the front and sides with a stylish shaped frieze resting on four cabriole legs with quarter brackets and finishing on a pad foot. The table has excellent colour and patination.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
